The 40 In 40 Bike Build is where we assembled 40 bikes in 40 minutes with the help of over 100 volunteers.
30 will live out at Community First Village as part of an on-site bicycle lending library based out of our Ghisallo Bicycle Hub and the other 10 will join our High School level lending library for a new pilot project with Urban Roots and Eastside Memorial High School.
Thanks to our partners NTT DATA Services, Intel, Bicycle Sport Shop, and Mobile Loaves & Fishes who have made this possible as well as all of our in-house volunteers and PHENOM Cycle Club for helping oversee the build teams.
All this is happened at the ACL Live/Moody Theater where we built the bikes, listened to some country music, ate BBQ from The Salt Lick, and enjoyed an open bar!
After the build we refueled with some delicious peach cobbler.
Bikes staged and ready to go!
All the volunteers worked hard to get the bikes done in time.
One of the bikes is presented to a member of the Community First Village
All the bikes are packed up and ready to load out.
Our build facilitators are happy with a good nights work (and free BBQ).
