Holiday Bike Builds – 2021

Say “Hell Yes” to getting together for pizza, beer, and bikes with your friends, co-workers, and the Ghisallo team at ABGB!

Cycle Academy, City Cyclist, and Golden Rollers have all returned this year with in-person programming, clinics, and group rides. And, drum roll please, our annual ABGB Hell Yes Project Build-A-Bike Holiday Lunches are back too!

Holiday Bike Build lunches will run from December 1st through December 17th. We will be building up 25 bikes donated by Guardian Bikes, which we are gifting to kids for the holidays at Title 1 schools, the Austin Women’s Shelter and Safe Alliance, and HACA Chalmers Courts. We welcome groups to join Ghisallo and ABGB in boosting the Holiday Cheer to those in need and come build bikes with us this December!

Sponsoring a Holiday Bike Build is $250 per bike and you can sign-up to build as many as you’d like. $250/bike covers the bike shipping, build, and helmet, plus added capacity for Ghisallo to run skills clinics and programs within the Austin community. Email Jill to set a date, time, and any menu details at jill@theabgb.com. Fill out the form below to pay for the bikes prior to the build, or bring a check on the day of the build.

Never built a bike before? Fear not, Ghisallo’s friendly staff will be there to help you from start to finish. Each bike takes roughly 15-20 minutes to build.

Can’t make it in-person? No worries, you can sponsor a bike to be gifted to a kid and Ghisallo staff will handle the rest. Fill out the form below to pay for the bike sponsorship, and we appreciate your support!

Thank you to the ABGB for letting us utilize your outdoor space for bike builds and Guardian Bikes for your donation. Happy holidays and see you soon!
