Big Jump

Power of Bicycles to Improve the Health and Vitality of People and Communities

The Big Jump Project is a 2017-2020 initiative of the national organization PeopleforBikes.

Austin is one of 10 cities selected for the Big Jump Project in order to achieve a “big jump” in the number of people traveling by bicycle in the city’s central core. The national goal is to maximize the power of bicycles to improve the health and vitality of people and communities. With the goals of doubling ridership and building long-term bike ridership and culture in Austin, Ghisallo Cycling Initiative is executing as the community engagement lead and delivering integral biking education and programming to all ages and abilities in Austin.
